To mark our second anniversary, The Foundation welcomed children to our annual Outreach events, which this year were held at three schools in Bukidnon in The Philippines. This was a far more ambition programme than our previous events – travelling to some of the more remote areas, where schools comprise of less than 200 children, some of whom have a daily walk of 6km to school.
The enthusiasm of the children was wonderful to witness, we were warmly greeted by singing, then there were games, a hot meal and each child received school supplies, hygiene kits, a raincoat, and a small goody bag of treats. They also learned a little about Maggie and The Foundation.
Huge thanks are again due to our amazing team of volunteers who ensured everything ran like clockwork! To our supporters who continue to fund-raise and inspire us, we are again deeply grateful.
